About Wendy Paris 

  • I have over 15 years experience assessing, writing reports and arranging access arrangements for people with disabilities; mostly covering SpLD s such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD

 

  • I have supported disabled students on university degree courses and administered tests and written reports to enable students to claim the DSA at University for over 15 years now.

 

  • I have a current Assessment Practicing Certificate which means my assessments are valid for the DSA (current certificate number 50000978-426. August 2021- August 2024)

  • I am an approved  assessor for the British Dyslexia Association 

 

  •  Full member of PATOSS (Professional Association of Teachers of students with specific learning difficulties  ) with indemnity Insurance and enhanced DBS check.

  •  I worked for a large further education college as a specialist assessor/SENCO covering a number of sites across Manchester for 15 years.

 

  • I have worked in an advisory and training role  to help my employer  achieve The Dyslexia Friendly kite mark from the British Dyslexia Association.  

 

 

  • I have taught on L5 and L7 post Grad SpLD teaching/assessing courses and am presently an assessor on the communicate-ed PaPaa course.

 

  • I  work as a freelance specialist assessor for a number of secondary schools, Including Bolton School; one of the best independent schools in the North West, as well as Chorlton High South and Sale Grammar. I work closely with SENCOs and examination officers to test a great number of pupils as efficiently and quickly as possible within the JCQ deadlines.

 

  • I have  assessed  pupils for dyslexia and dyspraxia at  junior and secondary schools in Manchester, Trafford,  Tameside and Bolton.
